Diigo project
Another way we can organize our computer is by deleting things we dont need and archiving things we will eventually need. Email would be a good way to do some organization because you can make files in email accounts. My favorite websites are KicksonFire and CarandDriver.

12/6 Tech Article
The 2015 Ford Mustang has been revealed and it is lower, wider, faster, meaner and just better than all other mustangs Ford has released. The engine is a turbocharged, 2.3 liter EcoBoost four-cylinder engine that is estimated to be around 300 horsepower and 305 ft-lb of torque. The roofline sits 32mm lower, rear track is pushed out 70mm, and 15mm at the front.

Nissan BladeGlider
The Nissan BladeGlider was revealed in the 2013 Tokyo Motor show. It is a three seater vechicle with an eletric drivetrain. It has similar engineering principles to a previous vehicle Nissan has made, the Leaf. Both use lithium ion batteries but the BladeGlider has two in-wheel motors on the rear wheels.

Do now 11/8
The thing that ignites my desire to make the world a better place is the knowing destruction of the world. Things like fossil fuels being used in cars when there are other better alternatives and shark fining. The emissions from cars is destroying the environment and shark fining is causing all sharks to go extinct and if that happens oxygen in the ocean could be gone.

Typhoon in the Philippines
Its sad to hear this because its just tragedy after tragedy happening. First we had the Garden State Plaza shooting then the shooter at Lodi high school and now a Typhoon that at least killed over 10,000 people and 2,000 people are missing. More people will die because of the lack of access to food, water, and medicine. I think we need to get help there as soon as possible because it is damaging they're economy. The damage to the coconut and rice growing region was expected to be over 3 billion pesos ($69 million) and a massive amount of private property has been destroyed. I think we could start a school fundraiser to send money over there and help them out

Wiki Research
1. A wiki can be used in my sports marketing class to do a project. We can communicate and each do our part easier with a wiki.
2. The benefits of a wiki are that it allows multiple people to edit a document and it is much easier to use.
3. We can do project and use a wiki to communicate throughout the class
4. I have never used a wiki before

Invisibility Cloak
If I were given an invisible cloak for a day, I would go around different schools to see if there is any bullying going on. I do not like it when people are bullied and I don't think it is fair to make fun of someone just because they are different. People who are bullied feel like they have nobody to turn to and can do harm to their selves.
Another thing I would do is take the bus to New York City and help out the homeless. The winter is nearing and New York has one of the highest rates of homelessness. People are being denied to shelters because of them being full and the shelters are also running out of supplies because of the large number of people.

The Galaxy Round
Samsung has released a new phone called the Galaxy Round. It is the first phone of its kind with a curved screen. The screen is 5.7 inches and uses advanced display technology called organic light-emitting diode (OLED). The phone will only be released in South Korea for now and retails for 1.1 million won or $1,000. The phone is an initial step before being able to make flexible phones.

My New Class
The class I would add to our school curriculum that we don't already have is self-defense. I feel like self-defense is one of the most important things you need to know because you can be attacked at any minute. Most people don't ever learn how to fight because they feel like they don't need to know how or they will never get attacked but it can happen to anybody.

Graphene the "Miracle Material"
Graphene is a one-atom thick layer of carbon arranged in honeycomb lattice. When millions of these are stacked on top of each other they form Graphene. It was discovered by 2 physicists in 2004 at UK's University of Manchester named Andre Geim and Konstantin Novoselov. They isolated a single layer of Graphene using Scotch tape and received the Noble Peace price in 2010. It is more conductive than copper and about 1000 times more then silicon. It is harder than diamond and about 300 times harder than steel. It can also stretch 20% of its original length and is still visible. Graphene will allow a new generation of flexible gadgets like phones and tablets. It could also make solar panels more efficient and allow digital devices to be embedded almost anywhere from cloth to walls.

Costa Concordia Rising
On January 13, 2012 the Concordia smashed into a reef off Giglio island. The captain of the ship brought it to close to shore and it ended up drifting then capsizing. It happened right off the island's port and 32 people were killed with 2 bodies yet to be found. Now more then a year later the ship is being brought up and this was finally achieved on January 17, 2013. This was said to be not possible but a team of 500 people from 26 different countries came together to do the impossible. It was a 19 hour long operation and costed about 600 million euros.

College Math
This is my first year taking college math and my teacher for the class is Ms. Ames. This is also my first year having Ms. Ames so I do not know much about her but she is a very nice lady. I expect to learn much needed math skills for when I enter college. The class is computer based using a program called Acellus. It is a new experience for me because the lessons are taught through thirty minute videos with questions at the end. I am use to having a teacher go up to the board and teach us the lesson. I feel like Acellus is harder but im getting through it.
The grading system is a grade out of 100. 20% for a weekly grade, 20% for participation, 40% for tests, and another 20% for notes in notebook. What I like about the class is that you have a weekly minimum of three lessons and the lessons are very short so you can complete the weekly goal in one day. Her website is here.

The Invisible Bicycle Helmet
The company Hövding has created a new helmet for cyclists known as the "Invisible Bicycle helmet". It is a collar which contains an airbag that will inflate and protect your head in case of a accident. It only takes about 0.1 seconds to inflate and it covers your skull and neck completely protecting your head. It costs about £260, translating to $345, and it has been being developed since 2005.

What September 11th means to me
September 11th means a lot to me but it means much more to the people that went through it and lost loved ones during the attack. I was 5 years old sitting in my kindergarten classroom when the buildings were hit. I remember my mom taking me out of school early and I had no idea why. When I got home I saw a huge amount of smoke coming out of 2 buildings but I didn't think much of it because I though it was just a fire. Not until I got much older I realized the extent of the situation and it was not just a fire.
